Seven million LEDs, and the show is the hub itself

Universal Celestial Goodnight debuted on July 7 in Celestial Park. Universal's own figures for it are absurd in the way these announcements always are: more than 350 fountains, nearly 600 synchronised light fixtures, and seven million LEDs threaded through the land, all scored to music nodding at the park's four themed worlds.

The genuinely interesting decision is geography. Most nighttime spectaculars happen at a lagoon you walk out to, stand at, and then leave. This one happens in the hub — the space you have to cross to get out of the park regardless. Epic's layout makes Celestial Park the last thing you see whether you plan for it or not, and building the closer there means the show catches everyone, including the people already heading for the parking hub.
