River Adventure isn't broken. It's eleven months into a refit.

Why the board has said “closed” since January, and will keep saying it until November.

Jurassic Park River Adventure went down on January 5 and does not come back until November 19. That is not a maintenance window — it is most of a calendar year, and it is comfortably the longest planned closure on our board. If you have been checking the wait times and quietly assuming our poller is broken, it isn't. It is reporting a ride that genuinely is not there.

Scope is the tell. A two-week closure is pumps, paint and a boat rotation. Eleven months is the kind of window you take when you are into the flume itself, or replacing show scenes wholesale, or both. Universal has said nothing about what changes — which is normal, and also why the reopening is the interesting date rather than the closing one.
